Hi, I'm Maki! I grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, surrounded by vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and the rich textile traditions of my homeland. When I moved to the United States at 16, I discovered a whole new world of street fashion and contemporary design.

Today, I blend these two cultures to create modern, comfortable clothing for girls and young women who want to stand out. Every piece I design tells a story—whether it's a bomber jacket with Ethiopian embroidery accents, a hoodie with Amharic script graphics, or a dress that combines American casual wear with traditional Ethiopian color palettes.
